Giving opportunities

We as a church give of our time, talents and resources to make a difference around the world.

Alabaster

This special offering is received twice a year in the months of September and February. Special boxes are provided which represent the container out of which Mary poured the perfume on the feet of Jesus as a love gift.  The offering is used for the construction of buildings in various parts of the world such as churches, homes for missionaries, clinics and schools.

Nazarene Theological Seminary

This graduate institution, located in Kansas City, Missouri, provides masters and doctoral level degrees for the purpose of training men and women for full time ministry as pastors, evangelists, teachers, missionaries and other specialty areas such youth, children, counseling and chaplaincy.

Nazarene Bible College

This four year college, located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, provides a bachelor’s degree in areas that prepare men and women especially for full time pastoral ministry. Traditionally, the college has served persons who have been called to full time ministry and have left other career paths to serve God and the church.

World Evangelism Fund

WEF, as it is known, is the “heart and soul” of the mission outreach of the Church of the Nazarene, International.  The mission statement for the Church of the Nazarene around the world is “Making Christlike disciples in the nations.”  We have hundreds of missionaries from many countries serving in 159 world areas.  This fund, raised by “Faith Promise” and other special offerings is the financial “life line” of our worldwide church’s effort to reach everyone everywhere with the “Good News” of the gospel.

Child Sponsorship

There are thousands of children in scores of marginalized, developing, poor countries who for $30.00 per month are provided with school fees, uniforms and books.  These children are associated with the Church of the Nazarene.  Their relationship to the church is as pastor’s children, perhaps being a part of a children’s development center or some other way.  This support enables them to have an education that otherwise would not be available to them.

LINKS

There are many other ways to give through the missions’ emphasis of our local church such as the LINKS (Loving Interested Nazarenes Knowing and Sharing) which provides extra loving support for our missionaries, and the World Mission Radio program.
